Built by Lamorinda students, for Lamorinda students

We started LocalAdmit because we experienced the problem firsthand. As Miramonte graduates, we used private college counselors — and were underwhelmed. While they were helpful, they were distant from the process. We wanted something different: real, recent, local expertise from people who genuinely care.

All counselors are current first-years at top universities — meaning their admissions experience is from the 2024–2025 cycle. They know exactly what works and what admissions officers are looking for right now.

How are we different?

We aren't just editing essays. We help students identify genuine interests, build meaningful activities, and develop a coherent narrative that runs through every part of their application.
We aim to clear up any confusion: what are colleges looking for in an applicant? What can I do to stand out among thousands of highly qualified applicants? We will help your child create a well rounded application that will leave a lasting impression on admissions officers.

Hyper-local counseling

We know the Lamorinda school system, its rigor, its culture, and how it looks to admissions officers.

Peer-level trust

Students are more honest with someone their own age. That honesty makes the work better.

Complete support

Essays, school list, extracurriculars, timeline — we cover the full process, not just one piece of it.
